Symposium fees

Industry delegate registration fee: US$820
Academic registration fee: US$600
Student registration fee*: US$275
*The student fee applies to students registered for a fulltime higher degree and must be accompanied by a signed letter from your head of department attesting to student
status. This rate is not applicable to post-doctoral students.

The registration fee includes:

• Abstract book
• Welcome Drinks Reception
• Mid session refreshments on each day of the symposium
• Lunch on each day of the symposium (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
• Access to all lectures, poster sessions, and exhibition

Please note the optional Gala Dinner is not included in your registration fee (see below).

Author Registration Deadline

Accepted poster authors must register before 4 April 2008 for their abstracts to be included in the poster programme.  Late submissions will be reviewed on the 23 April 2008, and authors will be notified after this date.  These authors must register before 4 May 2008.

Gala Dinner

An optional gala dinner will be held aboard the California Hornblower and
includes a cruise round San Francisco Bay. The cost of the dinner is US$70
per ticket. Delegates may bring guests and should indicate their ticket
requirements on the registration form.

Payment

Registration fees are payable in advance of the symposium. In order to expedite the registration process, please complete the registration form with your credit card details. Confirmation of your credit card payment along with registration confirmation documents will be sent to you by (air)mail. If you do not receive confirmation of your registration 7 days prior to the event, please contact the symposium secretariat.

Alternative payment methods

Checks should be made payable to Elsevier Ltd. and should be sent with your completed registration form. In order to pay by bank transfer, you will first require an invoice. An invoice will be sent to you by (air)mail upon receipt of a signed registration form completed with your contact details and registration details. The reverse side of the invoice provides Elsevier bank account details for transfer purposes. Please do not transfer fees until you have received your invoice. It is essential that you include your invoice number when instructing your bank. Please forward a copy of the bank transfer documentation to the conference secretariat.

Cancellations

Substitutions may be made at any time but please advise the Symposium Secretariat of a change of name. If you find it necessary to cancel the registration completely, please notify the Symposium Secretariat immediately. Provided written notice is received by June 10, 2008, a full refund will be given less a 10% administration charge. Provided written notice is received by June 24, 2008, a 50% refund will be given. It is regretted for registrations cancelled after June 24, 2008, or for no-shows at the symposium, the full fee (100% cancellation charges) will be payable. In the unlikely event that Elsevier shall deem it necessary to cancel the symposium, all pre-paid registration fees will be reimbursed. Elsevier shall not be liable for reimbursing the cost of travel or accommodation arrangements made by individual delegates.

Changes

Details are correct at the time of going to print. Elsevier reserves the right to change any session in the final program.
